Recently, the left tube of the Guapailing Tunnel in Section 10 of the Benhuan Expressway project, invested and constructed by China Railway (Liaoning) Benhuan Expressway Co., Ltd. and built by China Railway Beijing Engineering Group, was successfully holed through, marking the successful breakthrough of both tubes of the Guapailing Tunnel. It also marks that all tunnels in Section 10 of the Benhuan project have been fully holed through, achieving another new breakthrough in the construction of the Benhuan Expressway project.

The Guapailing Tunnel is located in Guapailing Gully, Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. It is a separated tunnel, and this contract section covers construction at the Benxi end. The left tube has a total length of 237.8 meters, and the right tube has a total length of 241.796 meters. The right tube was successfully holed through on September 16 this year, and this breakthrough of the left tube has laid a solid foundation for opening to traffic as scheduled. Construction of the Guapailing Tunnel began on June 25. Through the united efforts of all builders, the goal of holing through both tubes was finally achieved in 103 days, 85 days ahead of the construction schedule.

It is reported that the Benhuan Expressway is one of the key transportation construction projects in Liaoning Province. Once completed, it will shorten the travel distance from Shenyang to Benxi and Huanren and improve the transportation network of eastern Liaoning and even the whole province.
