From September 25 to 26, the 4th National Engineering Project Management Conference of the Survey and Design Industry was held in Beijing. With the theme of "Standardized Management, Digital Enhancement, High-Quality Development," the conference showcased the development achievements of China's engineering general contracting in recent years, shared ideas and practical experience for the standardized, specialized, standardized, and digitalized and internationalized development of engineering project management, and helped promote the high-quality development of the survey and design industry.

　　At the conference, a relevant person in charge of the Department of Building Market Regulation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development stated that the survey and design industry should comprehensively deepen the reform of enterprise systems and mechanisms, continuously improve the level of digital and intelligent design, establish and improve information-based and digital management platforms covering enterprise management, project management, and risk management, and comprehensively enhance the technical, management, and service capabilities adapted to engineering general contracting business. It is necessary to create a favorable market environment, further improve the policies, regulations, and contract pricing rules for engineering general contracting, and guide engineering general contracting onto a market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized development path.

　　A relevant person in charge of the China Survey and Design Association stated that carrying out design-led engineering general contracting is a new driving force and a new track for the survey and design industry to seize opportunities and overcome challenges, and a new field and new opportunity for traditional survey and design beyond the main battlefield. Survey and design enterprises should make up their minds, vigorously promote the development of engineering project management and engineering general contracting business, focus on solving problems in many aspects such as development concepts, management capabilities, organizational structure, and talent teams that are incompatible with the development of engineering project management and engineering general contracting business, maximize the expansion of the enterprise's business connotation and boundaries, and provide strong guarantees for the industry's development of engineering general contracting through the improvement of project management capabilities.

　　At the conference, 18 industry experts and enterprise representatives conducted technical exchanges and experience sharing on the development of digital project management, engineering general contracting project management, hot issues and solutions in engineering project management, etc. The conference was hosted by the China Survey and Design Association, organized by the Construction Project Management and Engineering General Contracting Branch of the China Survey and Design Association and the China Petroleum and Chemical Survey and Design Association, and co-organized by the vice-chairman units of the Construction Project Management and Engineering General Contracting Branch of the China Survey and Design Association and digital project management service enterprises. More than 400 people participated, including relevant persons in charge from relevant government departments and some survey and design industry associations, relevant persons in charge of survey and design enterprises, and industry experts.
