The new construction project of the Longchang Road Cross-River Tunnel, invested in and built by City Investment Highway, has reached a new milestone. Recently, with a whistle from the lifting commander, the huge diaphragm wall reinforcement cage was slowly hoisted, then precisely lowered into the trench and concreted, marking the completion of all diaphragm wall construction for the working shaft of the Puxi section of the Longchang Road Cross-River Tunnel.

Since the start of construction, the project construction team has carefully planned in response to actual on-site conditions, conducted multiple site surveys, coordinated with relevant units, actively overcome the impact of the complex surrounding environment, and clearly required all participating parties to organize full personnel briefings to ensure the site met the conditions for diaphragm wall construction. As the shield receiving shaft of the Longchang Road Tunnel, the diaphragm wall for the working shaft construction in the Puxi section totals 22 panels, laying a solid foundation for subsequent project advancement and holding great significance for the Longchang Road Cross-River Tunnel project. The project construction team is making every effort to tackle engineering difficulties and bottlenecks in accordance with project construction requirements, and, while ensuring construction quality and safety, is racing against time, accelerating progress, and securing milestones.

The new construction project of the Longchang Road Cross-River Tunnel starts in the north at the intersection of Longchang Road and Yangshupu Road in Yangpu District and ends in the south at the intersection of Yunshan Road and Qishan Road in Pudong New Area, with a total length of 2.1 kilometers. Once completed, the project will effectively divert short- and medium-distance cross-river traffic, alleviate congestion at regional cross-river nodes, further improve the regional arterial road network, facilitate travel for residents on both sides of the Huangpu River, and increase the appeal of the riverside public space to residents. It is of great significance for promoting economic development on both sides of the Huangpu River and accelerating the transformation and development of the areas surrounding the Yangpu Bridge.
