Recently, the feasibility study revision review meeting for the Wenshan-Jingxi Railway was successfully held in Beijing. The meeting was chaired by the Appraisal Center of China State Railway Group, with relevant units such as Yuntou Railway participating. During the meeting, all parties present listened in detail to the report by China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group on the project's feasibility study plan, and conducted in-depth group discussions on the project's construction standards, route alignment, station layout, transport organization, land use, financing plan, and investment control. After synthesizing opinions from all parties, the expert group of the Appraisal Center of China State Railway Group put forward specific review opinions on the project.

As an important component of the Yunnan-Guangxi Border Railway, the Wenshan-Jingxi Railway plays a key role in connecting Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The railway starts from Tengchong City (Houqiao) in Yunnan Province and passes through Dehong, Lincang, Honghe, Wenshan, as well as Baise, Chongzuo, Fangchenggang and other prefectures (cities) in Guangxi, with a total length of about 1,500 kilometers. The Wen-Jing Railway not only connects eastward to the Jingxi-Fangchenggang section and the Tianjing-Nankun Railway, linking the Beibu Gulf region and the Nanning hub, but also connects westward to the Wenshan-Mengzi section and the Kunyu-Yumeng Railway, linking the western Yunnan region and the Kunming hub. The line leads out from Jingxi Station of the existing Tianjing Railway, passes through Jingxi City, Napo County, Funing County, Guangnan County, and Yanshan County to Wenshan City, and connects to Wenshan Station of the Wen-Meng Railway under construction.

The main line of the project is 278.303 kilometers long, of which the Yunnan section is 198.684 kilometers and the Guangxi section is 79.619 kilometers. In addition to the main line works, the project also includes related works for introducing the line into the Jingxi area, Funing area, and Wenshan area. The project is designed for a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, adopting a single-track railway design scheme for mixed passenger and freight traffic, with a total investment of approximately 35.72 billion yuan and a planned construction period of 5 years.

The entire line has 24 stations in total, including 21 newly built stations, 7 intermediate stations (Yanshan, Yanshan North, Yanshan South, Nasa, Sanla, Funing South, Napo), 14 passing stations, 2 reconstructed existing stations (Funing, Jingxi), and 1 station under construction on the Wen-Meng Railway (Wenshan).

The construction of the Wen-Jing Railway will not only greatly enhance regional transport capacity and promote economic development along the line, but will also further improve the layout of the railway network in Southwest China, laying a solid foundation for future transport development.
