The Shangdu County 1.5-million-kilowatt photovoltaic grass industry project is located approximately 22 kilometers southeast of Shangdu County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total investment of up to 7.68 billion yuan. The project is constructed under the EPC general contracting model and undertaken by PowerChina Beijing Engineering Corporation Limited. At present, construction of the Shangdu project is in full swing, with the photovoltaic site area, booster station, and collector lines all under full-scale construction, and the project has achieved significant progress. It is initially estimated that the project will be ready for full-capacity grid connection by the end of November 2024.
It is reported that the project has a planned installed capacity of 1,500 megawatts on the AC side and 1,794 megawatts on the DC side, and plans to install 3,120,000 575-watt monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules. The project adopts a design scheme of "block-based power generation and centralized grid connection," with a total land area of approximately 47,000 mu and an overall span of 26.6 km × 15.4 km, consisting of eight irregularly shaped sites.
As the general contractor, PowerChina Beijing Engineering Corporation Limited will rely on its deep accumulation and rich experience in the new energy field to fully advance project construction and ensure that the project is completed on time, with quality, and in the required quantity.
