The Benhuan Expressway progress bar has been refreshed again! On September 16, the right tube of the Guapailing Tunnel of the Benhuan Expressway project, invested in and constructed by China Railway (Liaoning) Benhuan Expressway Co., Ltd. and undertaken by China Railway Beijing Engineering Group, was successfully holed through, marking new progress in tunnel construction and laying a solid foundation for the holing-through of both tubes and the scheduled opening of the entire line.

The Guapailing Tunnel is located in Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province, at the border with Jilin Province. It is a separated tunnel; this section constructs the Benxi end, with a right-line length of 241.796 meters. Since tunnel excavation began in June 2024, the Benhuan project has organized construction in strict accordance with the construction philosophy of "specialization, mechanization, informatization and standardization," regularly carried out safety education such as safety training and emergency drills, effectively enhanced the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of workers, and ensured the smooth progress of the project.

It is reported that once the Benhuan Expressway is completed, it will shorten the travel distance from Shenyang to Benxi and Huanren, and improve the transportation network of the Liaodong region and even the whole of Liaoning Province.
