To ensure that all work of the West Extension Project of Line 17 (Dongfang Luzhou Station (excluded) ~ Xicen Station) proceeds in an orderly manner according to the schedule, all operation and maintenance units have intervened in advance, and the temporary management and operation preparation work by specialty and by phase is in full swing. Starting from August 22, the West Extension Project of Line 17 officially entered the phase of special subject drills for trial operation. Up to now, the West Extension Project of Line 17 has successfully completed drill tasks such as the 6-car coordinated debugging turnback capability test, ATC drill without trains, and ATC drill with trains. In addition, the new train commissioning team of maintenance vehicles worked closely with the train service specialty of Line 17 to complete multiple key tests of the 17A02-type train. The maintenance signaling specialty has issued safety certificates for 8 trains, and 7 trains have completed online trial operation.

In order to complete all drill subjects with guaranteed quality and quantity and on time, the Line 17 Management Department strictly followed the drill schedule and plan, carefully formulated and executed the corresponding drill plan. Party members on the line gave full play to their exemplary and leading role, actively participated in relevant tests, drills, and support work, and made every effort to ensure the smooth progress of the West Extension Project.

After the end of operations on September 1-4 and September 5-8, the ATC drill without trains and the ATC drill with trains were conducted respectively. The drills covered normal operation of central ATS functions, ATS fault simulation, station platform screen door testing and emergency closing, manual turnout operation, train rescue drills, and other subjects, and covered 4 teams. During the drills, the duty station master and station staff carried out manual turnout operation and on-site monitoring and control, becoming familiar with the equipment and procedures. At the same time, support personnel from relevant units such as operations and maintenance provided technical support. The passenger transport specialty supervisor of Line 17 and the deputy station master of the Dongfang Luzhou station area supervised and guided the work. The drill conditions were recorded in detail for review and optimization, and stage-based assessment and analysis of the drill results were conducted, with timely rectification and optimization of existing problems, so as to ensure the smooth and orderly progress of the follow-up work of the West Extension Project.

In addition, the turnback capability test at Xicen Station during the 6-car coordinated debugging at the end of August comprehensively tested the stability of the West Extension signal system, the reliability of train operation equipment conditions, and the turnback operation capability of Xicen Station. Before the drill, the construction safety briefing was conducted by the person in charge of signaling construction. The train service specialty of Line 17 distributed the "walking route illustrated schematic diagram" and explained the details, safety points, and potential risks. During the drill, the 14 participating drivers and support personnel remained highly vigilant and operated strictly according to regulations. The coordination center carried out whole-process joint control group calls, and on-site support and remote coordinated cooperation were arranged at the turnback point. After two days of effort, the train service specialty of Line 17 cooperated with maintenance signaling to complete the drill task and achieve the expected goal.

Subsequently, Xicen Station will continue to carry out special drills according to the established plan, conduct stage-based assessment and analysis of the drill results, and promptly rectify and optimize existing problems, so as to ensure the smooth and orderly progress of the follow-up work of the West Extension Project.
