On September 11, the Gaofukou Tunnel, the first tunnel over one kilometer in length in the Hebei section of the Xiong'an-Xinzhou High-Speed Railway, was successfully holed through, laying the foundation for subsequent ballastless track operations and for the full line to be completed and opened to traffic as scheduled in 2027.

The Xiong'an-Xinzhou High-Speed Railway connects the Xiong'an New Area in Hebei with Xinzhou in Shanxi, with a main line length of 342 kilometers, a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and a total of 13 stations along the entire line. The Gaofukou Tunnel, located within Fuping County, Hebei, passes through the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains and has a total length of 2,344 meters. The geological conditions along its route are complex and variable, and the construction technology is extremely difficult, so it has been listed as a major and difficult control project for the entire line.

Intelligent robots were used to carry out full-process dynamic monitoring of complex conditions such as geological changes in the tunnel, ensuring the safe and smooth holing-through of the tunnel.

After the Xiong'an-Xinzhou High-Speed Railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will be of great significance for further improving the high-speed railway network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and promoting exchanges and interactions between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration and the central Shanxi urban agglomeration.
