On September 11, the side wall pouring of the U3 section of the Qiaoxing South Road of the National Highway G240 project in Xinhui, Jiangmen, Guangdong Province, was completed, laying the foundation for subsequent construction.

It is understood that the third phase of the reconstruction project of the National Highway G240 from Huicheng to Niuwan in Xinhui is located in Xinhui, Jiangmen. The Qiaoxing South Road sunken tunnel of the project is located at the intersection of Qiaoxing South Road and Xinhui Avenue. The open section adopts a U-shaped groove structure with a length of 120 meters, and the closed section adopts an integral box structure. The road grade is a first-class highway, designed as a two-way six-lane road with a driving speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It is a short tunnel (urban sunken tunnel).

According to the introduction, in order to ensure the smooth progress of this pouring work, the project department made comprehensive, meticulous and adequate preparations in the early stage. The project team strictly controlled the pouring layer thickness, arranged dedicated personnel to monitor the vibration quality of the concrete, conducted uninterrupted inspections of the stability of the formwork support, and strictly implemented quality control measures and safety assurance measures.

It is reported that the Qiaoxing South Road Tunnel is a key project of the National Highway G240 project. The smooth pouring of the side wall of the U3 section will lay the foundation for the subsequent construction of the project.
