September 4 (Report) — According to a message on the "Pearl River Shipping" WeChat public account, meteorological forecasts indicate that this year's No. 11 typhoon, "Yagi," will reach the level of a severe typhoon or super typhoon, with maximum winds of force 15-17, exerting a major impact on the waters of the Qiongzhou Strait.

From 18:00 on September 3 to 0:00 on September 4, ro-ro passenger vessels will leave the waters of the Qiongzhou Strait in batches to take shelter from the wind.

From 0:00 on September 4, the Xinhai Port–Xuwen Port route will be suspended; from 0:00 on September 4 to 0:00 on September 5, the Yuehai Railway South Port–North Port route and the Xiuying Port–Hai'an New Port route will retain a small amount of capacity for emergency evacuation (because Xiuying Port is undergoing renovation and upgrading, individual passengers leaving the island are requested to cross via Yuehai Railway South Port). Due to limited capacity, during this period only small passenger cars with prior crossing reservations and green-channel vehicles transporting fresh agricultural products will be carried; other vehicles are requested not to go to the ports.

From 0:00 on September 5, all ro-ro passenger transport across the Qiongzhou Strait will be suspended. The time for subsequent resumption of service will depend on meteorological conditions.
