The reporter learned from the Guizhou Company of the Shanghai-Kunming Railway Passenger Dedicated Line that on August 31, the first pier of the Wangmo River Grand Bridge—the "** pier body" of the newly built railway from Huangtong, Guizhou to Baise, Guangxi—was successfully poured and completed. This is also the completion of the "** pier" construction work in the Guizhou section of the Huang-Bai Railway, opening up a favorable situation for the bridge engineering construction of the entire line.

　　The Wangmo River Grand Bridge has a total length of about 1,287 meters and crosses the Wangmo River diagonally, with a total of 32 piers and abutments and 256 pile foundations. The highest pier of the grand bridge is 48 meters. Among them, spans No. 0 to No. 14 are 32m simply supported cast-in-place box girders, and spans No. 15 to No. 17 are (64+120+64) meter prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame girders. The pouring completed this time was for Pier No. 1 of the Wangmo River Grand Bridge, with a pier body height of 13 meters and dimensions of 4.15×5.95 meters.

　　According to the on-site person in charge of the Huang-Bai Railway Project Department of China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group, the Wangmo River Grand Bridge has successively completed the construction of the ** pile foundation and ** pile caps in the Guizhou section of the Huang-Bai Railway. Pier No. 1 is the ** pier body completed by pouring construction on the entire Huang-Bai Railway line.

　　Since entering the site, the functional joint party branch of the Guizhou section of the Huang-Bai Railway, together with the project management department of China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group, has overcome numerous difficulties in land acquisition and demolition, quickly delivered construction land, planned ahead for technical service preparations, coordinated resource guarantees, and vigorously grasped safety and quality to ensure standardized construction of the project. During the pouring of the bridge pier, project management personnel for safety, quality, and testing supervised the entire process and strengthened on-site management. At the same time, they promoted the use of tooling and equipment such as the pile foundation ring-cutting process, pier body steel bar positioning fixtures, and pier body spray curing, ensuring the smooth completion of the first pier pouring.
