On August 30, the steel box girder of the main bridge over Jiangbei Avenue of the Jianning West Road River-Crossing Channel Project, a key transportation project in Nanjing constructed by the Nanjing Public Engineering Construction Center of Jiangsu Province and built by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, was successfully jacked into place, marking that the main structure of the largest steel box girder over Jiangbei Avenue of the Jianning West Road River-Crossing Channel has entered the "countdown" phase of construction.

　　The Nanjing Jianning West Road River-Crossing Channel Project (Phase I) is located between the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and the Yangtze River Tunnel. The project starts at the intersection of Xingpu Road and Jiangbei Expressway in Jiangbei New Area, runs south along the east side of Xingpu Road, crosses the Jinpu Railway, and then crosses the Yangtze River by tunnel. The route is about 6.8 kilometers long in total.

　　The B1 section of the Jianning West Road River-Crossing Channel undertaken by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group is mainly responsible for the construction of the main bridge and ramp bridges of the Jiangbei Avenue interchange of the Jianning West Road River-Crossing Channel Project, mainly including steel box girders, precast girders, cast-in-place girders and high piers. To ensure the smooth progress of steel box girder construction, the project team proactively coordinated with relevant construction experts to demonstrate the scheme; leveled and hardened the site in key hoisting areas of the construction site; and strictly implemented three-level safety education and professional certificate verification for on-site construction and equipment operators. At the same time, it actively coordinated relevant construction resources and strictly controlled on-site construction. Through morning deployment and evening meetings to refine task division and implement grid-based management, it strengthened safety control and effectively achieved multi-dimensional all-round management of the construction site, ensuring that the steel box girder construction could be completed safely and smoothly.
