Recently, the construction of the prestressed continuous beam form traveler for the crossing of Xiwanggang on Section 3 of the Shanghai Municipal Railway Demonstration Area Line successfully passed the key milestone acceptance. This is the **first continuous beam form traveler construction on the Demonstration Area Line, laying a solid foundation for subsequent continuous beam construction along the entire line.

Section 3 of the Demonstration Area Line includes civil engineering works such as shield tunnels, open-cut sections, and bridge sections within the range from DK44+197 to DK39+187 (excluding pier columns) of Shuixiang Keting Station (exclusive), with a total length of approximately 5 kilometers. The prestressed continuous beam constructed this time is a single-box single-cell structure with a main span of 72 meters. The entire bridge is divided into 2 cast-in-place "Block 0" segments, 8 cantilever casting segments, 2 side-span cast-in-place segments, and 1 mid-span closure segment. The beam height at the central support is 4.8 meters, the beam height at the side supports and mid-span is 2.6 meters, and the bridge deck width is 11 meters.

According to the preliminary design approval, the Demonstration Area Line has a total length of 52.4 kilometers, passing through two administrative districts, Minhang and Qingpu, with a total of 10 stations along the entire line and a maximum operating speed of 160 kilometers per hour. Upon completion, the project will establish a rapid skeleton transportation network connecting Shanghai's main urban area, Qingpu New City, and Jiashan, Wujiang, and other locations. As the Shanghai section of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Jiaxing Intercity Railway, the Demonstration Area Line is not only the gateway line of the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone but also an important component of Shanghai's municipal railway network.
