Recently, ten ministries and commissions—the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the General Administration of Sport, and the National Bureau of Statistics—jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Fully Leveraging the Role of "Youth Stations" to Help Young People Seek Employment (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions).

The Opinions summarize local exploratory experience with "Youth Stations" in the practice of building youth-development-oriented cities, and are mainly aimed at addressing the need for transitional housing during young people's job-seeking and employment process, so that young people can enter the city, stay there, live securely, and build careers. The Opinions set out main tasks including rationally laying out sites, standardizing operations and management, helping young people find employment, expanding service functions, and strengthening follow-up contact; they also put forward requirements on strengthening organizational leadership, enhancing policy support, integrating social resources, and resolutely opposing formalism, and propose that "Youth Stations" be genuinely built into an important front for serving young people's job-seeking, employment, growth, and development.

The "Youth Station" model originated as a grassroots initiative and has more than 10 years of accumulated practice. Over the past two years it has been widely promoted in the course of building youth-development-oriented cities across various regions; more than 1,800 stations have been built, covering 156 cities, and they have become a "** station" for more and more young people seeking jobs away from home.

Activities can be carried out on ordinary open ground, and the amount of exercise can be adjusted from light to intense, making it suitable for people of different ages, genders, physiques, and levels of training.
