Xitan Technology (Wuxi Exploration Machinery General Factory Co., Ltd. of Jiangsu Province) was founded in 1956 and has now transformed and developed into a specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative sci-tech enterprise. It has been rated as a national high-tech enterprise and a sci-tech SME, and as a Wuxi Gazelle Enterprise. It has established a Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Technology Center and a Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base. In the process of independent research and development, it has pioneered and innovated, winning the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Jiangsu Provincial Geotechnical Society and the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Business Federation. It owns 10 national high-tech products and has undertaken 2 national key scientific and technological projects, and has accumulated 120 invention and utility model patents.

The company established a Science and Technology Innovation Center in 2023. Its product research and development covers four fields: smart piling, smart energy, smart environment, and smart drilling tools. Since establishing the development direction of a sci-tech innovation-oriented enterprise, it has continuously achieved transformation and upgrading in multiple dimensions such as development strategy, product planning, R&D innovation, and brand image.
