On August 21, the "Jianbing No. 1" shield tunneling machine broke through the wall at Sixin Middle Road Station on Wuhan Rail Transit Line 12, marking the smooth completion of the right-line shield tunneling in the Sisi section, 9 days ahead of the scheduled milestone. At this point, all three right-line tunnels within the project section have been completed.

The "Jianbing No. 1" shield machine adopts a panel-type composite cutterhead, with an excavation diameter of 6.43 meters, a shield body length of 8.635 meters, and is equipped with No. 1 to No. 5 gantries, with a total length of approximately 81 meters. It has successfully completed the tunneling task of about 2.5 kilometers for the right-line tunnels of three sections. The right line of the Sisi section has a total length of 806 meters, passing alongside high-rise buildings and bridges, and underneath rivers, main roads, and important municipal pipelines. The shield tunneling construction took place during the summer high-temperature weather and the plum rain season, involving high construction risks and great difficulty.

The project was scientifically organized and construction management optimized. First, 24-hour ground monitoring was implemented, with shield tunneling parameters dynamically adjusted based on monitoring data to ensure the efficiency and quality of shield tunneling; second, work shifts and procedures were reasonably arranged, ventilation and cooling measures inside the tunnel were enhanced, and heatstroke prevention medicines and sunshade products were fully stocked at the construction site to ensure the life, health, and safety of frontline workers; third, objective factors such as heavy rain and the high school and college entrance examinations were fully taken into account to minimize their impact on construction, with advance planning and scientific preparation of the construction schedule to ensure rapid and efficient completion of the milestone targets.
