The Lishui section of the Yilongqing Expressway project is an important component of the "Big Garden" construction project—a key construction project of the "Six Vertical and Six Horizontal" main framework in Zhejiang Province's 14th Five-Year Plan for Comprehensive Transportation Development. The main line has a total length of 93.05 kilometers and is led, invested in, and constructed by Zhejiang Communications Group. The main line features 58 bridges totaling 16,251 meters and 14.5 tunnels totaling 52,826.5 meters, with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 74.2%, making it the expressway with the highest proportion of extra-long highway tunnel clusters and the longest continuous extra-long tunnel cluster in China.

The Baiheshan Extra-Long Tunnel entering the portal this time has a total length of 7,397 meters and is a separated two-way four-lane tunnel. It is one of the key control works of the Lishui section of the Yilongqing Expressway project. Adhering to the construction philosophy of "quality, green, intelligent, and humanistic," the project strictly follows refined management requirements, strictly observes the safety red line and quality bottom line, and continuously improves standardized management efficiency, providing strong guarantees for the high-quality advancement of the project.

The official commencement of portal excavation for the Baiheshan Extra-Long Tunnel marks that the construction of the Lishui section of the Yilongqing Expressway has entered a new stage, taking a solid step toward the early realization of full-line opening to traffic.
