　　Walking into the construction site of the Gaoping Digital Economy Industrial Park, tower cranes stand in clusters and machines roar. More than 200 construction workers, under the scorching sun, are carrying out formwork support and rebar tying work for the research building. "Right now we are overcoming the impact of high temperatures, the flood season, and other factors. On the premise of ensuring construction safety and project quality, we are vigorously advancing project construction to improve quality and accelerate speed, ensuring the project is completed and put into operation as early as possible," said Bi Guanghong, deputy manager of Kexing Gongchuang Development and Construction Co., Ltd.
　　The Digital Economy Industrial Park focuses mainly on digital product manufacturing and digital services. It is an effective carrier for Gaoping City to deepen its layout in emerging industries, future industries, and digital industries and to explore the digital and intelligent transformation of industries. Once completed, it will better help the development of the digital economy. At present, the project has completed 58% of its total progress. The main structure is expected to be fully topped out by the end of the year, and the overall project is expected to be fully completed in October 2025.
　　This busy yet orderly construction scene is also taking place at the construction frontline of the Taihang Flower Seedling and Floriculture Base project. With vehicles shuttling back and forth continuously, workers are carrying out construction work intensively on one side. "We have broken down the milestone tasks and coordinated on-site scheduling and safety management. At present, we have organized 50 workers and more than 30 large machines to operate simultaneously. The overall project is expected to be fully completed and put into use by May next year," introduced Chen Weiwei, deputy manager of Gaoping Science and Innovation Landscaping Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the project.
　　The Taihang Flower Seedling and Floriculture Base project covers more than 200 mu with an investment of 120 million yuan. The main construction content includes three functional areas—the seedling cultivation area, the potted planting area, and the hardening-off nursery—as well as intelligent greenhouses, automated breeding and propagation production lines, and supporting facilities. After completion, the project will introduce premium seedlings from other regions and cultivate seasonal flowers, achieve integrated scientific research, testing, breeding, and promotion of flower and plant varieties, and build the largest flower factory in southeastern Shanxi.
　　Newly started projects are making full preparations, while projects under construction are speeding up. Since the beginning of this year, Gaoping City has regarded project construction as the "strong engine" and "solid support" for promoting economic and social development, and has established a "543" project advancement and implementation mechanism based on the "five lists," with the municipal leadership liaison mechanism as the core and regular notification of project progress as the foundation. In the first half of this year, 283 of the city's 296 construction projects started or resumed construction, a start/resumption rate of 95.6%; the city's fixed asset investment totaled 5.48 billion yuan, up 15% year on year; provincial and municipal key projects completed investment of 2.24 billion yuan, with an investment completion rate of 64.3%. "We adhere to the integration of planning, scheming, and programming. On the basis of having planned and reserved 358 projects with a total investment of 64.8 billion yuan at the beginning of the year, and with the thinking of grasping the current year, planning for next year, and thinking three years ahead, we have dynamically established a 'trillion-yuan project library.' The number of projects in the library is dynamically maintained at 100, with a total investment of more than 100 billion yuan, ensuring that projects continue without interruption and promoting the clustered development of the three major industrial chains of industry, agriculture, and services," said Li Yibin, director of the Project Advancement Center of the Gaoping Municipal Development and Reform and Science and Technology Bureau.
