Recently, the street-facing hoarding at Wuhou Shrine Station on the Third Phase of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 10 was successfully removed, achieving a total withdrawal length of approximately 1,000 meters and a withdrawn area of 13,500 square meters. As the summer vacation tourism peak is currently underway, traffic on Wuhou Shrine Avenue has been restored to smooth flow, providing convenient passage for surrounding shops, tourists, and citizens, and laying a solid foundation for the station's subsequent mechanical and electrical construction.

Wuhou Shrine Station on the Third Phase of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 10 has a main body length of 533 meters, a standard section width of 20.9 meters, and a foundation pit depth of 26.7 meters. It is designed as a three-level underground structure with a total of 11 entrances/exits, 5 emergency exits, and 3 groups of ventilation pavilions.

The project manager of the Third Phase of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 10 stated that the construction section of Wuhou Shrine Station is located in a traffic-dense area of Wuhou District, surrounded by numerous attractions such as Wuhou Shrine and Jinli, as well as major urban arterial roads including the First and Second Ring Roads. The underground pipe network is complex and buildings are dense, leaving extremely limited construction space. Through an "ant moving house" construction strategy, during the hoarding process the construction team adopted the "cover-and-cut and semi-cover-and-cut sequential construction method," using dynamic hoarding measures of "enclose a bit, build a bit, restore a bit" to complete the civil construction bit by bit within the minimum construction scope.

Before hoarding removal

During the hoarding removal and road restoration stage, the construction team adopted "block-by-block hoarding removal and zone-by-zone road restoration" to ensure smooth passage for citizens. The project manager said, "During the hoarding removal period, we deployed more than 60 construction workers and quickly removed the hoarding covering approximately 400 meters from Wuhou Shrine Heng Street to Tongci Road in just one night, allowing urban functions to be rapidly restored."

As the summer vacation tourism peak is currently underway, the removal of the hoarding is like a summer breeze, injecting a touch of refreshment and vitality into the surroundings of Jinli and the Wuhou Shrine scenic area. Ms. Hu of the Hanshi Museum Hotel on Wuhou Shrine Avenue said, "The rapid removal of the hoarding has had a positive effect on business operations. We look forward to the opening of the metro further enhancing the commercial value of the surrounding area and attracting more foot traffic and business."

After hoarding removal

Currently, the construction progress of Wuhou Shrine Station is proceeding steadily as planned. The main structure of the station has been topped out, the ancillary structures are 80% complete, and the station is now in the interior decoration and equipment installation stage.

Data shows that Wuhou Shrine Station, as a key art station on the Third Phase of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 10, integrates cultural resources and highlights distinctive spatial design. A 200-meter-long column-free landscape section has been created inside the station, combining modern architectural art with the Three Kingdoms culture IP to showcase the historical heritage and modern appearance of Chengdu, Sichuan.

"The station interior decoration incorporates scene elements and stories from Tianfu culture, such as Zhuge Liang and the deeds of Shu Han heroes, and features an observation platform, allowing passengers to enjoy convenient travel while also immersing themselves in the rich historical and cultural atmosphere."
