On August 11, the first cast-in-place pour of the ballastless track in the Chenjiayuanzi Tunnel on the Chongqing section of the Yuxia High-Speed Railway began, marking that Work Area 1 of Section 8 (pre-station works) of the Chongqing section of the Yuxia High-Speed Railway has officially entered the ballastless track construction stage.

Ballastless track is the last process before track laying, and also the most strictly required and most precisely controlled link in railway construction.

The ballastless track works of Work Area 1 of Section 8 (pre-station works) of the Chongqing section of the Yuxia High-Speed Railway have a total length of 4.98 km. The ballastless track construction in the Chenjiayuanzi Tunnel is the project's first pour and adopts the CRTS double-block structure.

To meet the precision requirements of the ballastless track, the project team adopted effective measures such as strengthening the acceptance of track panel frames and arranging professional fine-adjustment personnel for strict control. At the same time, the project department made reasonable arrangements for on-site transport passages and resource allocation to ensure the smooth completion of the ballastless track.

The Chongqing section of the Yuxia High-Speed Railway is an important component of the Xiamen-Chongqing Corridor in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. The line starts from Chongqing Station, passes through Yuzhong, Nan'an, Banan, Nanchuan, Wulong, Pengshui and other districts and counties, and finally reaches Qianjiang District. The main line is about 270 km long with a design speed of 350 km/h. The completion of the Chongqing section of the Yuxia High-Speed Railway will significantly improve travel conditions for residents along the line, shortening the travel time from Qianjiang, Chongqing to the main urban area from the current 4 hours to less than 1 hour.

As an important component of the main Xiamen-Chongqing corridor, the Chongqing-Qianjiang Railway, once opened, will connect with the already completed and operational Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway and be integrated into the network. People in Hubei can board at Xianfeng and Laifeng in Enshi and travel directly to Chongqing. In addition, it will strengthen transport links among urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, promote economic and social development in areas along the line, and be of great significance for integrating tourism resources along the route.
