On August 11, with the completion of the final span of bridge deck concrete pouring, the right-side bridge deck paving of the Ziya New River Grand Bridge on the Quyang Expressway, constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau Group, was completed, and the 3.13-kilometer-long Ziya New River Grand Bridge was fully connected.

The Ziya New River Grand Bridge is fully connected. The Quyang Expressway (Suning Interchange to Jingtai Expressway Section) project starts in Suning County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, and ends in Qingxian County, Cangzhou City. The route is approximately 96.46 kilometers long, designed for a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and uses a two-way, four-lane standard design. The section constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau Group is 7.17 kilometers long, of which the Ziya New River Grand Bridge is a controlling key node project for the entire line.

The incremental launching construction of the sixth-span steel box girder on the left side of the grand bridge was the controlling process with the greatest construction difficulty and the highest safety control coefficient on the entire line. The steel box girder spans the 70-meter-wide Ziya New River and has a total weight of 750 tons, equivalent to the weight of 150 Asian elephants. During the incremental launching process, technicians used high-precision total stations to control the launching alignment in real time, and installed 12 walking-type jacks across the bridge to advance forward at a speed of 2 meters per hour, completing the scheduled task in 9 days.
