On August 11, the reporter learned from the project department of TJ5 section of the Tongliang to Zizhong (Sichuan section) Expressway that all construction work is currently proceeding smoothly according to the scheduled plan. This section has completed 71.6% of its output value, and the Mengxi River Bridge, a controlling project, is expected to be closed by the end of November.

▲Yaogjiagou Interchange

　　TJ5 section has a total length of 20.4 kilometers and includes 1 ground-level interchange. The entire line has 18 bridges in total, accounting for 15.7% of the route. In recent period, the project owner has made reasonable plans according to weather conditions and carefully arranged working hours. More than 320 workers have been organized across the entire line, and more than 150 pieces of various types of machinery and equipment have been deployed to the site for construction, ensuring that the project proceeds smoothly according to the scheduled plan. Up to now, 90% of the subgrade earthwork and stonework construction of the project has been completed, and the construction of special subgrade is nearing completion. The cumulative construction length of culverts is 3.4 kilometers, with 84.6% completed. For bridges across the entire section, 607 pile foundations have been completed, accounting for 98% of the work; the construction progress of pier columns, tie beams, and cap beams has all exceeded halfway, with completion ratios of 69%, 76%, and 64%, respectively.

▲Mengxi River Bridge

　　Among them, the Mengxi River Bridge, as a controlling project, adopts a "50m+90m+50m" continuous rigid frame for its main span and crosses over the Mengxi River Special Rare Fish Nature Reserve. It is a major and difficult project of this project. The project construction party has adopted new processes, new technologies, and new equipment such as prefabricated trestle bridges, rainwater recycling systems in the bridge area, and steel pipe pile cofferdams for shallow cover layers (new energy electric construction equipment), so as to complete the construction task with high quality and efficiency without damaging the local ecology. At present, the construction of the double-limb thin-walled piers and block No. 0 of the bridge has been completed, and the form traveler has also been installed. The pouring of block No. 3 of pier No. 2 on the right span, block No. 4 of pier No. 3 on the right span, and block No. 1 of pier No. 3 on the left span has been completed. Construction operations for the continuous rigid frame process are currently underway, striving to complete the closure of the left and right spans by the end of November.

　　It is understood that the Tongliang to Zizhong Expressway project has a total route length of 105 kilometers. It starts at Tiancheng Village, Shiyang Town, Anyue County, Ziyang City, and connects with the recently completed and opened Tongliang to Anyue Expressway (Chongqing section). It passes through 9 townships in Anyue County, Ziyang City, and 6 townships in Zizhong County, Neijiang City (with a total length of 40 kilometers), and connects with the under-construction Zizhong to Leshan Expressway. The total route length is 105.1 kilometers. It is constructed according to the technical standard of a two-way six-lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2025.
