Recently, at the construction site of the synthetic ammonia project of Henan Shenma Long'an Chemical Co., Ltd. located in the Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone of Shilong District, dozens of large pieces of machinery were roaring, tower cranes were methodically lifting and transporting construction materials, and hundreds of construction workers wearing safety helmets and work uniforms were busy in an orderly manner.
"The rain a few days ago affected the construction progress. Although the heat is unbearable, in order to catch up with the schedule, all the workers are staying at their posts. At the same time, to protect the workers' health, we have adjusted the work schedule to avoid the high-temperature periods," said Nan Beihong, the project manager, adding that the project department also prepared cooling oil, Huoxiang Zhengqi water and other heatstroke-prevention and cooling supplies for the workers.
The project is adjacent to Pingdingshan Dongxin Coking Co., Ltd. and uses the coke oven gas generated during the coking process of that company to obtain LNG and liquid ammonia products through compression and purification, shift conversion and decarbonization, methanation, cryogenic separation, ammonia synthesis and other processes, with a planned investment of about 1 billion yuan. "At present, 97% of the project's civil construction has been completed, 98% of the equipment, piping, electrical and instrumentation installation has been completed, 85% of the cable laying has been completed, and single-machine trial runs have begun for the circulating water, fire water, demineralized water and air separation units," Nan Beihong introduced.
At the same time, the construction site of the Oriental Carbon annual output of 30,000 tons high-end special graphite carbon material project, separated from the synthetic ammonia project by only one wall, was also a busy scene. In the carbonization system roasting workshop, the rumbling sound of machinery was continuous, and workers were stepping up no-load joint commissioning and testing of two new car-bottom type roasting furnaces.
The project has a total investment of 1.08 billion yuan and covers an area of 175 mu (1 mu ≈ 666.67 square meters). It will build new calcination systems, batching systems, forming systems, carbonization systems, graphitization systems, machining systems, and supporting auxiliary production facilities. "The carbonization workshop will build 46 new car-bottom type roasting furnaces at one time. Twenty-four furnace bodies are under construction, and the remaining 22 will also be completed and put into use in September. By then, it will be the largest car-bottom furnace group in the country and even the world. At present, 60% of the workshop foundation of the calcination, batching and forming workshop has been completed, the workshop foundations of the carbonization workshop and graphitization workshop have been fully completed, and 90% of the outdoor road network has been completed," said Zhang Mengnan, the general commander of the project construction. He added that the Shilong District Party Committee and District Government established a special work team to serve the project construction, and the company matched resources well. On the basis of fully guaranteeing labor, materials and machinery and equipment, it reversed the construction schedule, ensuring the rapid and smooth progress of the project construction.
Since the beginning of this year, Shilong District has taken major project construction as the main lever for expanding investment and enhancing development momentum, adopted precise measures, given play to the "baton" role of assessment, adhered to institutional guidance, and strictly implemented the working mechanism for county-level leaders to oversee key projects and the "weekly scheduling, monthly notification, quarterly evaluation, and year-end overall evaluation" mechanism for key projects, so as to keep abreast of the progress of key project construction and the problems existing in the project advancement process. It has given play to the "sword" role of supervision and promptly issued notifications on projects with slower progress. At the same time, 17 special work teams have been established to focus on 17 provincial and municipal key projects, advancing work in a project-based manner and advancing projects in a list-based manner. All special teams have formed synergy and focused on solving the blocking and difficult problems encountered in project advancement.
In 2024, the district is implementing 38 key engineering projects, with a planned total investment of 19.82 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 2.2 billion yuan. Up to now, 1.52 billion yuan of investment has been completed, accounting for 69.1% of the annual target.
