Recently, as the rebar inspection of the final roof slab section was passed and concrete pouring began, this marked that the main structure of Liuzhoudong Road Station on Nanjing Metro Line 11, combining open-cut sequential construction and covered excavation reverse construction, is about to be successfully topped out.

Liuzhoudong Road Station is located in the plot in the southwest quadrant of Jiangshan Road and Liuzhoudong Road, and is laid out north-south along Jiangshan Road as an underground four-level island-type station. The station is adjacent to the Yangtze River water system, and the strata consist of soft soil layers such as silty fine sand, with complex engineering geological conditions. Facing construction difficulties, Nanjing Metro tackled them head-on, adopting trench quality analysis for diaphragm wall panel excavation and organizing quality assessment for each wall panel to fully ensure the closure and impermeability quality of the diaphragm walls; adopting an intelligent dewatering system capable of automatic water level monitoring and real-time display; and adopting a steel strut axial force servo system that integrates CNC hydraulic technology, automated monitoring technology, and IoT technology. These measures ensured the safety and stability of the ultra-deep foundation pit project and ensured that the main structure construction was completed safely without affecting the normal operation of the existing Line 3 metro.

The first phase of Nanjing Metro Line 11 is entirely located on the north bank of the Yangtze River and is one of the backbone transportation lines running through the north-south axis of Jiangbei New Area. This line can achieve transfers with 10 river-crossing lines including Metro Line 3, Line 4, Line 10, and Line S3, making it worthy of the title "Transfer King" of Jiangbei, and it is of great significance for strengthening the connection between Jiangbei New Area and the main urban area.
