Recently, the final roof slab concrete for Pit No. 2 of the station main structure of Civil Engineering Section 14 of Shanghai Rail Transit Line 23 was successfully poured, marking the topping-out of the main structure of Shanghai Stadium Station on Line 23. This progress has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the station's ancillary structures and the shield tunneling work on the running tunnels.

Shanghai Stadium Station is located within the Shanghai Stadium plot on the west side of Tianyaoqiao Road, south of Lingling Road in Xuhui District, and is the terminus of Line 23. The station's main platform is 385.95 meters long and 29.71 meters wide, and the station is a two-level underground station with one island platform and one side platform. After opening, passengers will be able to transfer at this station to Shanghai Stadium Station on Rail Transit Line 4.

As the project is located within Shanghai's inner ring, it faces challenges such as abundant groundwater, complex surrounding pipelines, and numerous residential areas, and must overcome three major obstacles: dewatering, pipeline relocation, and environmental protection. It is understood that the construction team consistently regarded safety and quality as its primary goals and resolved the difficulties one by one through construction schedule control and civilized construction management.

To improve the appearance quality of the concrete, the columns in the station's public areas adopt fair-faced concrete construction technology. The two-level structure contains a total of 29 fair-faced concrete columns across the upper and lower levels, of which 15 in the concourse level are irregular-shaped columns and 14 in the platform level are square columns. The construction team conducted multiple trials regarding the supply of concrete raw materials, formwork assembly, selection of release agents, concrete pouring and vibration, embedded conduits, and concrete curing, and ultimately determined the first-article parameter indicators, ensuring that the fair-faced concrete columns have a uniform appearance color and a simple, dignified look.
