August 7 (Xinhua) — According to the website of the Central Meteorological Observatory, the Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued an orange rainstorm warning signal at 8:49 on August 7, 2024: precipitation in the southern counties and districts of Yan'an City has currently reached over 50 mm and rain is likely to continue. The following areas are expected to receive over 50 mm of rainfall in the next 3 hours: Yijun County in Tongchuan City; Chengcheng County, Heyang County and Baishui County in Weinan City; Huangling County, Huanglong County, Yichuan County, Luochuan County and Fu County in Yan'an City; Zizhou County in Yulin City; and Hancheng City. There is a relatively high risk of mountain torrents, mudslides and other disasters in these areas. Please take precautions.

　　1. The government and relevant departments shall carry out emergency rainstorm prevention work in accordance with their duties;

　　2. Cut off hazardous outdoor power supplies and suspend outdoor operations;

　　3. Units located in dangerous areas shall suspend classes and business, and take special measures to protect the safety of students, young children and other working personnel who have already arrived at school or the workplace;

　　4. Carry out drainage and waterlogging prevention in cities and farmland, and take precautions against possible disasters such as mountain torrents, landslides and mudslides.
