In the first half of this year, Karamay City completed construction drawing reviews for 63 new civil building projects, 100% of which met the "basic level" green building standard. Among them, there were 14 new star-rated green engineering building projects.
　　According to the relevant person in charge of the municipal housing and urban-rural development bureau, since the beginning of this year, the bureau has firmly established the new development philosophy and earnestly implemented the work arrangements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region, and the Karamay Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. Taking energy conservation and emission reduction and reducing building energy consumption as key measures, it has carried out in-depth work on building energy efficiency, green buildings, intelligent construction, and the promotion and application of new wall materials, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and high-quality development.
　　For new and renovated (expanded) civil building projects in Karamay City, from the construction drawing design and construction stages to the acceptance stage, implementation strictly follows current building energy efficiency design standards and specifications such as the Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings (XJJ034-2022) and the General Code for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Utilization in Buildings (GB55015-2021). At present, the implementation rate of energy efficiency standards for new buildings in the city has reached 100% in both the design and construction stages.
　　At the same time, Karamay City fully implements the Green Building Evaluation Standard (XJJ126-2020). New state organ office buildings, government-invested public welfare buildings, and large public buildings of more than 20,000 square meters are all designed and built strictly in accordance with one-star and above star ratings.
　　The person in charge stated that next, the municipal housing and urban-rural development bureau will steadily advance carbon peaking work in the urban and rural construction sector and strengthen the development of building energy efficiency and green buildings. On the basis of 100% implementation of current building energy efficiency design standards and specifications in the design, construction, and acceptance stages of new and renovated (expanded) civil building projects throughout the city, it will continue to strengthen supervision over the entire process of design, drawing review, construction, supervision, and acceptance, continuously increase the proportion of star-rated green buildings, ensure that 100% of new civil buildings implement the basic-level green building standard, and achieve the annual target of 15% for the proportion of new star-rated green buildings.
