Key projects are the "tractor" and "power source" of economic development. Since the beginning of this year, Lanshan County, with the spirit of "the start is the decisive battle, the beginning of the run is the sprint," has been going all out to promote the quality, speed, and efficiency of key project construction through measures such as "one-on-one" and "butler-style" assistance and agency services for key projects, and county-level leading cadres contacting enterprises. As of the end of July, the county's 18 provincial and municipal key projects had completed investment of 2.085 billion yuan, accounting for 71.9% of the annual planned investment; the 6 centrally started projects had completed investment of 488 million yuan, accounting for 81.33% of the annual planned investment, successfully achieving the "double over half" goal.
　　Walking into the construction site of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Center project in Lanshan Economic Development Zone, workers are full of energy and cooperating with each other, busy with construction operations such as cutting steel bars, tying steel bars, installing formwork, planting steel bars, and building walls. The entire construction site is busy yet orderly.
　　Wei Konglin, the person in charge of the project, introduced: The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Center project in Lanshan Economic Development Zone is a municipal key project. The project covers a total area of 25 mu, with a total construction area of 25,516 m2 and a total investment of 100 million yuan. The project started in May 2023. At present, the main structures of the service building and R&D center have been fully completed, and indoor masonry works, sprinkler systems, and indoor fire hydrant systems are under construction. The project is scheduled to be completed in January 2025, by which time it will provide the park with platforms for scientific and technological innovation, financial services, talent services, and enterprise services, and enhance the comprehensive carrying capacity of the park.
　　At the site of the "Xu Teli Project" of Lanshan County No. 2 Middle School, the "Teli Science and Education Building," which integrates the lecture hall, laboratory building, and art building, comes into view. The brand-new teaching equipment and corresponding supporting facilities indoors are eye-catching.
　　"The 'Xu Teli Project' for county-level ordinary high schools is a key livelihood project of the Hunan Provincial People's Government. The Lanshan County Party Committee and County Government attach great importance to it. In April 2023, the lecture hall, art building, and laboratory building were integrated into the 'Teli Science and Education Building' and actively reported upward. In June 2023, the 'Teli Science and Education Building' of Lanshan County No. 2 Middle School was successfully selected into the list of 'Xu Teli Projects.' The project covers an area of 4,639 square meters, with a construction area of 14,907 square meters, 5 floors above ground, a building height of 22.4 meters, and a budgeted total investment of 60.6503 million yuan. The project completed its main structure and decoration in September 2023, completed equipment installation in May 2024, and was fully put into use. At present, the LOGO design for the entrance and lobby of the 'Teli Science and Education Building' has been approved by the Provincial Department of Education, and the installation of the LOGO sign will be completed in August 2024," introduced Yang Guang'an, head of the Infrastructure Center of the Lanshan County Education Bureau.
　　To ensure the steady progress of key projects throughout the county, the main leaders of the Lanshan County Party Committee and County Government go deep into the project frontline for on-site office work from time to time and set up a special project promotion task force to coordinate and solve difficulties and problems existing in the project promotion process; at the same time, they have established a promotion mechanism of "weekly scheduling, monthly analysis, and bimonthly review" to ensure that key projects are promoted solidly and efficiently.
