　　The Longcheng Waterlogging Area Treatment Project is one of the four water conservancy projects funded by additional government bonds in Pengze County, located within Hongxing Village, Aiguo Wei, and Xilong Village of Longcheng Town in the county. The main task of the project is flood control and improving the water ecology and water environment of the river channel treatment section. Through project treatment, about 20,345 mu of cultivated land can be protected and 85,000 people can be protected.

After this project is completed, these hidden dangers will be eliminated."
　　At the same time, at the construction site of the Zhuoliu Drainage Pumping Station Project of the waterlogging area treatment project in townships such as Dongsheng Dike in Pengze County, a key waterlogging-prone area drainage capacity construction project in Jiangxi Province, machines roared and workers were busy at their respective posts.
　　"What we are constructing now is the Zhuoliu Drainage Pumping Station. Its water source comes from Shangshiling, flows through Dongsheng Town, and then empties into Taipo Lake. At present, we are carrying out rebar tying for the pump house of the drainage pumping station, formwork installation, and scaffold erection. About 30% of the project volume has been completed so far, and it is expected to be fully completed by the end of October this year." According to Zhou Desheng, the on-site person in charge of supervision for the drainage pumping station project, after the waterlogging area treatment project in townships such as Dongsheng Dike is completed, it will cover 31 villages in 10 townships and benefit more than 60,000 villagers.

For a long time, Pengze County has accurately grasped the great significance of special government bonds in promoting high-quality county development. Based on past flood control experience and in response to the shortcomings and weaknesses in water conservancy, Pengze County has increased investment in water conservancy construction year by year and built 32 new drainage pumping stations, including 5 pumping stations along the river. At the same time, 17 polder dikes have been reinforced and treated, including horizontal and vertical anti-seepage reinforcement of the 32-kilometer polder dike in Mianchuan Town of the county, and vertical anti-seepage reinforcement of Funong Wei, Aiguo Wei, Huating Dike, Tanqiao Dike, Xinqiao Dike, and others. The construction of these water conservancy projects has effectively reduced the damage caused by floods to farmland, villages, and towns during the current flood season, reduced the affected area of crops, lowered agricultural economic losses, and provided a solid foundation for the regional economic and social development of Pengze County.
　　It is understood that in 2023, the Pengze County Water Conservancy Bureau kept a close eye on national policy orientation and seized policy opportunities. The bureau actively planned projects and secured 232.9 million yuan in funding for four government bond water conservancy projects from higher authorities, exceeding one-third of that of Jiujiang City. On April 30 this year, four government bond water conservancy projects, including the Pengze County Longcheng Waterlogging Area Treatment Project under the key waterlogging-prone area drainage capacity construction project of Jiangxi Province, the waterlogging area treatment project in townships such as Dongsheng Dike, the Hongguang Wei Waterlogging Area Treatment Project, and 30 small irrigation area projects such as the Caojialong Irrigation Area in Pengze County, were fully launched in a concentrated manner. The projects will build 4 new pumping stations, demolish and rebuild 16 drainage pumping stations, build 2 new farm bridges, rebuild 2 farm bridges, and treat channels, with a total investment of 330 million yuan, of which about 232 million yuan in government bond funds has been fully allocated.
　　After the projects are completed, they will further effectively reduce the damage caused by floods to farmland, villages, and towns, effectively improve local agricultural irrigation conditions, improve water resource utilization efficiency, promote increased agricultural production and farmers' income, and comprehensively consolidate the foundation of food security. "At present, all four government bond water conservancy projects in the county have been fully launched in April this year, and each project is being accelerated according to the time nodes and is expected to be fully completed in October this year."
