Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued 2.159 billion yuan in central budget investment for 2024 under the special program for urban underground pipe networks and facilities, supporting 24 urban underground pipe network and facility construction projects across the province, with a total project investment of 3.581 billion yuan.
　　To strengthen the systematic construction of municipal infrastructure and enhance urban safety and resilience, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, together with the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, has actively guided and supported all prefectures (cities) in thoroughly planning and reserving projects in line with national policy orientations and investment directions, solidly advanced preliminary work, strengthened reporting and coordination with the NDRC, and made every effort to secure central budget funding support. Recently, the NDRC issued 2.159 billion yuan in central budget investment for 2024 under the special program for urban underground pipe networks and facilities, supporting 24 urban underground pipe network and facility construction projects across the province, with a total project investment of 3.581 billion yuan.
　　After the projects are completed, it is estimated that 473.43 kilometers of drainage pipe networks and 313.46 kilometers of water supply pipe networks will be newly built or renovated, and 269.73 kilometers of urban gas mains, 377.12 kilometers of courtyard pipelines, 716.47 kilometers of gas risers, and user facilities for 475,600 households will be renovated. Once the projects are completed and put into use, they will help reduce the accident rate of gas and other pipe networks, mitigate problems such as urban waterlogging and leakage in water supply networks, further enhance the city's comprehensive carrying capacity and emergency disaster prevention capabilities, and make people's lives safer, more comfortable, and better.
