Nanning, August 2 (Xinhua) — On August 2, the two-weekChina-Vietnam "Cooperation-2024" joint counter-terrorism training concluded at a training base in Guangxi.

This joint training was the first bilateral joint training organized by the Chinese People's Armed Police Force with the Mobile Police Force of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, set against the backdrop of jointly responding to the threat of terrorism and themed on joining hands to combat violent terrorist activities.

Over the two weeks, the two sides mainly conducted training in 7 major categories and 27 subjects, including exchanges and seminars, command training, skills training, water training, tactical coordination training, intensive specialized drills on specific topics, and comprehensive counter-terrorism exercises.

It is reported that the joint counter-terrorism training was organized and implemented by means of mixed grouping, group-based study and training, and simultaneous execution, aiming to strengthen mutual trust and cooperation between China and Vietnam and enhance their joint counter-terrorism capabilities.
