On July 31, as the cutterhead of the 6.2-meter-diameter "Shaoshan No. 11" shield machine slowly began to rotate, the shield on the right line of the Chengnan Road Station–Yaoling Station section of Changsha Metro Line 7, constructed by the company, was successfully launched, officially beginning its "underground journey."

Phase I of Changsha Metro Line 7 runs north-south, starting at Yuntang Station and ending at Wulipai Station. The line is 16.84 kilometers long with 16 stations, including 9 transfer stations, and is designed as Changsha's first line to adopt a fully automated operation system. The construction environment is complex and safety risks are high. The company is responsible for the construction task of one station and three sections, among which Dongtang Station is a transfer station transferring with the already-operating Line 3; it is an underground two-story island-type station constructed using the full covered cut-and-cover reverse construction method. The surrounding buildings and structures are extremely complex, with numerous commercial establishments and heavy traffic, making metro construction coordination highly difficult.

The successfully launched right line of the Cheng-Yao section is 623 meters long in total, and the left line is 619.6 meters long. The horizontal curve radius of the left and right line tunnels is 600 meters, and the spacing between the left and right lines is 15.2 to 17.2 meters. After departing from Chengnan Road Station, the section runs along North Shaoshan Road, passing beneath multiple underground pedestrian passages and the Line 6 section, and after passing beneath a 220KV power tunnel, connects to Yaoling Station. Buildings are dense along the route and there are numerous pipelines; the minimum vertical clearance from the existing Rail Transit Line 6 tunnel is only 2.1 meters, posing relatively high safety risks. The launch of "Shaoshan No. 11" marks the start of shield tunneling construction in the project's shield section, and project construction has entered the "fast lane" of comprehensive acceleration.
