August 2 (Xinhua) — According to the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration for Market Regulation and 27 other departments will jointly launch the national "Quality Month" campaign in September 2024. The theme of the campaign is "Strengthen Quality Support, Build a Quality Power Together."

　　The key arrangements for the campaign are as follows:

　　(1) Hold the award ceremony of the 5th China Quality Award and the National Quality Power Expert Forum. Commendation activities will be held for the organizations and individuals winning the 5th China Quality Award, scientific quality management models and methods will be promoted, the role of high-end think tanks will be leveraged, cutting-edge quality topics will be discussed, and quality innovation and development will be jointly pursued.

　　(2) Carry out a series of activities to strengthen enterprises through quality. Implement a series of enterprise assistance and support actions, including "Metrology Services for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises," the "Quality Management System Certification Improvement Action for Small and Micro Enterprises," "Intellectual Property Services Across the Country," and "Private Economy Standards Innovation Week." Organize matchmaking between supply and demand for innovative products of intelligent testing equipment. Hold activities such as chief quality officer training competitions and quality brand exchange and mutual learning, promote the exchange of experience in strengthening enterprises through quality, and enhance enterprises' quality management capabilities and awareness of quality brand development.

Carry out actions such as the quality infrastructure foundation-strengthening action and activities to enhance industries through excellence in quality management, guide chain-leading enterprises and upstream and downstream small and medium-sized enterprises to promote collaborative quality upgrading, and provide quality element support for establishing and developing industrial ecosystems and enhancing the resilience and competitiveness of industrial chains. Organize experience exchange activities on strengthening industrial chains through quality, showcase the results of industrial chain quality improvement actions, distill typical cases, and create a leading and driving effect.

Carry out sharing, cooperation, and exchange activities for the cultivation and construction of quality-strong counties (districts, towns), deepen regional quality cooperation and mutual assistance, and promote the integrated and coordinated progress of urban construction and quality development. Focusing on advantageous and distinctive industries within the region, cultivate regional quality brands with high visibility and reputation, vigorously carry out regional brand promotion activities, enhance the overall image of regional products and services, and strengthen new advantages in regional quality development.

Carry out electric bicycle quality improvement activities, and promote the publicity and implementation of mandatory national standards for electric bicycles and the management of industry norm announcements. Promote the application of agricultural means of production operation service standards and promote the improvement of the quality of agricultural means of production supply and technical services. Carry out quality improvement actions for major water conservancy project construction and implement the lifelong quality responsibility system. Hold activities to improve the service quality of the culture and tourism market and promote quality improvement experience.

Strengthen product quality supervision and inspection, and release the results of national supervisory spot checks on the quality of key products. Carry out special rectification actions for the quality and safety of fire protection products to improve the overall quality level of fire protection products. Carry out quality and safety risk monitoring for cross-border e-commerce imported consumer goods, and release quality and safety consumer alerts for key products. Carry out "Elevator Safety Publicity Week" activities. Carry out consumer education activities focusing on consumer goods quality and safety and the implementation of the defect recall system.

Hold the national housing and urban-rural development system "Quality Month" on-site observation meeting, exchange management experience, showcase key technologies, and promote the resolution of frequently occurring housing quality problems of public concern. Carry out public welfare services for quality testing of household water purifiers in communities.

Hold activities such as the central enterprise total quality management knowledge competition and the QC group achievement presentation competition. Promote the achievements and deeds of outstanding quality groups, quality-trusted teams, and outstanding quality managers, and showcase in a concentrated manner a batch of national employees' "Five Small" innovation achievements.
