Recently, it was learned from the Municipal Water Resources Bureau that the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Department of Water Resources have jointly issued the 2024 central budget investment plan for special water conservancy projects and the provincial water conservancy infrastructure investment plan. Lu'an City has received a total of 1.045 billion yuan in superior support funds, including 728 million yuan in central budget investment and 31,700 yuan in provincial water conservancy infrastructure investment, both ranking second among provincial-administered cities. The funds will support four water conservancy projects: the important flood storage and detention area construction project in the Huaihe River Basin (Lu'an section), the Shihe River flood control project, the Pihe River flood control project, and the reconstruction project of Yangwei Drainage and Irrigation Station in Shucheng County.
Since the beginning of this year, Lu'an City has continuously strengthened the planning of water conservancy projects and intensified efforts to obtain support from various superior special funds. It has successively received 3.131 billion yuan in new government bond funds, 178 million yuan in central water conservancy development funds, 167 million yuan in provincial water conservancy development funds, and 100 million yuan in provincial financial special fund support, with support from various superior funds all ranking among the top three in the province. Next, Lu'an City will, in accordance with the basic construction procedures for water conservancy projects, carefully organize project implementation, ensure project construction management and benefits, and continuously improve the city's flood control and disaster reduction and water resource guarantee capabilities.
