记者从施工方北京市政路桥市政集团四公司了解到，将于明年年底开通运营的地铁14号线东段，在东风北桥站至朝阳公园站区间需两次下穿朝阳公园北湖和南湖。其中，枣营站向北至东风北桥站区间需穿越朝阳公园北湖，穿越长度为592米，目前已完成隧道施工，预计下月开始铺轨;枣营站向南至朝阳公园站需穿越朝阳公园南湖，穿越长度为587米，目前一台盾构机正在湖底顶进，另一台盾构机进入试验段调试。
由于地铁施工需要挖掘出双方向列车的两条隧道，因此每个方向均由两台盾构机先后进行穿越，一共将完成4次穿越。预计今年年底，隧道穿过南湖，整个穿湖区间实现洞通。
