On the morning of July 6, the 6th National Universities "Mao Yisheng Class" Construction and Development Seminar was held in Changsha. Sun Yongfu, former Executive Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways (ministerial level), Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Chairman of the Beijing Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Education Foundation; Lu Chunfang, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Chai Liyuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Central South University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Mao Yulin, Chairman of the Beijing Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Education Foundation; Wang Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CRCHI; and leaders of relevant enterprises and institutions attended the meeting.

      On the afternoon of July 6, according to the meeting arrangements, Academician Sun Yongfu, Chairman Mao Yulin and their delegation visited CRCHI for research. Wang Peng accompanied them during the visit.

During the visit, Academician Sun Yongfu and his delegation successively toured CRCHI's full-face tunnel boring machine production line, drill-and-blast tunnel equipment production line, and the Original Technology Source Achievement Exhibition Hall. They listened to reports on the company's production and operations, product R&D, and talent team development, and highly affirmed CRCHI's achievements in overcoming a series of "bottleneck" challenges and building a scientific and technological innovation talent team for developing major national equipment.

Academician Sun Yongfu said that every visit to CRCHI reveals encouraging innovations. CRCHI's development path is a microcosm of China's scientific and technological progress. Relying on independent innovation, CRCHI has achieved extensive product exports, and its technical level ranks among the world's leaders. He hopes CRCHI will further strengthen scientific and technological research, promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and achieve more fruitful and remarkable innovation results.
