On the evening of the 8th, a fire broke out at the Huang Gongwang Memorial Hall located within the Huang Gongwang Hermitage Scenic Area in Fuyang District, Hangzhou. At around 0:00 on the 9th, the Fuyang District Fire and Rescue Brigade of Hangzhou issued a situation report stating that there were no casualties at the scene. According to preliminary on-site inspection, the fire was caused by an electrical circuit short circuit, and the specific cause is under further investigation.

It is reported that at 20:24 on the 8th, the Fuyang District Fire and Rescue Brigade received a fire alarm and immediately coordinated with the Fuyang District Branch of the Hangzhou Public Security Bureau, the Fuyang District Emergency Management Bureau, and Dongzhou Subdistrict to rush to the scene for handling. By 21:36, the fire had been extinguished.

It is reported that the memorial hall is a single-story wooden structure completed and put into use in 2012, with a building area of more than 900 square meters. It is not a cultural relic protection unit and houses no cultural relics. The scenic area is currently closed.
