On June 30, the first arch crown concrete pouring for the No. 2 tunnel of the Jinan-Binzhou High-Speed Railway at the Jinan Yaoqiang Airport Comprehensive Transportation Hub project was completed, marking the full-scale launch of the tunnel's main construction and refreshing the progress of the Jinan-Binzhou High-Speed Railway once again.

The Airport No. 2 Tunnel of the Jinan-Binzhou High-Speed Railway emerges from the underground station at Yaoqiang Airport and then passes beneath the planned GTC (Transportation Center) and Terminal 2. With a total length of 1,204.985 meters, the tunnel structure is overall trumpet-shaped, with the widest section measuring 60.78 meters and the narrowest 13.3 meters. This tunnel is China's first super-large-span multi-cell multi-arch tunnel structure co-constructed with an airport terminal in water-rich soft soil strata, featuring complex cross-section types, high construction risk, and numerous crossing points. During construction, standardized construction was strictly followed, a standardized quality assurance system was established, responsibilities were clearly defined, and every stage of the construction process was strictly controlled, ensuring the smooth completion of this construction task.

The Jinan-Binzhou High-Speed Railway is a high-speed railway in Shandong Province connecting Jinan City and Binzhou City. It is an important component of the intercity network of the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration and one of the "one ring, six radials" express corridors of the Shandong provincial capital urban agglomeration economic circle, as well as one of the important radiating collection and distribution channels of Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport. Once the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will completely end the history of no high-speed rail service in Jiyang and Shanghe districts of Jinan and the main urban area of Binzhou, realize the interconnection between the auxiliary channel of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, and is of great significance for optimizing the layout of the province's high-speed railway network, driving the construction of the Jinan Start-up Area for Converting Old and New Growth Drivers, and promoting high-quality economic and social development along the line.
