On June 30, with the pouring of the last cubic meter of concrete, all 242 pile foundations of the main bridge of the 110 National Highway Dengkou Yellow River Bridge project, constructed by CCCC Second Highway Engineering Co., Ltd., were completed, marking the project's official entry into the substructure construction stage and laying a solid foundation for subsequent cap construction and related process transitions. The bridge's pile foundation construction lasted 157 days, 10 days ahead of schedule.

　　The superstructure of the main bridge of the 110 National Highway Dengkou Yellow River Bridge undertaken by CCCC Second Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. adopts a prestressed continuous girder bridge with corrugated steel webs, with a total of 11 main piers for the main bridge and a span arrangement of 85+10×130+85. Each pier location of the main bridge uses 22 pile foundations with a diameter of 1.8 meters and a pile length of 94 meters, forming a pile group foundation as the bridge's foundation structure.

　　It is understood that the project is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River's "Ji-shaped Bend," in a wandering riverbed, featuring exceptionally long pile foundations and complex geological conditions, which impose extremely high requirements on drilling equipment and hole-forming techniques. Safety and quality risks such as hole collapse and drill burial are prone to occur during construction. To this end, the project team strengthened scientific and technological research, adopting specialized "sand-silt separation" hole-cleaning equipment for hole cleaning to ensure thorough removal of sediment, and ensuring pile quality through process measures such as ensuring the embedment depth of steel casings and using high-quality bentonite slurry for wall protection.

　　The construction of the 110 National Highway Dengkou Yellow River Bridge project is of great significance for implementing the national highway network planning layout, improving the trunk highway network of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, enhancing the traffic capacity and service level of the regional trunk road network, supporting the development of local tourism resources, comprehensively implementing the rural revitalization strategy, and promoting the high-quality economic development of the Yellow River basin. The project is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2026.
