China Railway Wuhan Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuhan Railway") disclosed that recently, the Zhijiagou Bridge in the Hubei section of the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Railway, which is constructed and managed by Hubei Co., Ltd. of the Wuhan-Jiujiang Railway Passenger Dedicated Line and built by China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., was successfully completed, pushing the construction of the Hubei section of the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Railway into a new stage.

The Zhijiagou Bridge is located in Xiangkou Township, Yunxi County, Shiyan City, with a total length of 207.3 meters. The bridge piers adopt round-ended solid piers, with the tallest pier body reaching 10 meters. The abutments adopt double-track rectangular hollow abutments, and both piers and abutments use bored pile foundations with a pile diameter of 1.25 meters. The pile foundations are designed as end-bearing piles, and the span arrangement adopts simply supported box girders of 6 to 32 meters.

The construction of the Zhijiagou Bridge lasted nine months and was finally successfully connected with the Huangyunpu No. 1 Tunnel and Huangyunpu No. 2 Tunnel, which were completed last year.

During construction, the construction unit adhered to the concept of building a "high-quality high-speed railway" and set the construction goals of "ensuring quality and ensuring milestones." The construction management unit conducted regular assessments of milestone targets for construction sites such as high-risk tunnels, controlling works, and continuous girders, to avoid "bottleneck" work sites that could affect the overall project construction progress.

In response to the characteristics of the Hubei section of the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Railway, such as alternating bridges and tunnels and diverse structures, the construction unit combined on-site control with archive management to build a full-coverage safety and quality control system, ensuring that key and difficult projects such as the Xuanjiaping Tunnel, Dongjiaping Grand Bridge, and Zhijiagou Bridge fulfilled their construction plans and targets on schedule and with quality, laying the foundation for the early completion and opening of the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Railway.

After the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Railway is fully completed, it will be of great significance for implementing national development strategies such as the "Yangtze River Economic Belt" and "Western Development" as well as the "Belt and Road" initiative, and for strengthening the connection between the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration and the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
