China Weather Network News: Although the previous round of heavy rainfall has come to an end, from today (May 22) to the 25th, precipitation in the south will not stop completely; it will only be smaller in overall scope and weaker in intensity. From the 26th, a new round of heavy rainfall is expected in the south, with rainstorms or heavy rainstorms reappearing in some places. In addition, today and tomorrow, sunny and hot weather will continue to develop in most of the north, and a new round of high temperatures will begin.
Southern precipitation to ease over the next three days; new round of heavy rain from the 26th
Yesterday, this year's first dragon-boat rain in South China entered its final stage, but rain remained strong in Fujian, eastern Guangdong, and Hainan. Monitoring shows that from 8:00 on the 21st to 6:00 on the 22nd, moderate to heavy rain occurred in parts of eastern Hubei, southern Anhui, southern Zhejiang, Fujian, southern Jiangxi, central and eastern Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Hainan Island, with heavy rainstorms in local areas including Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Longyan, and Nanping in Fujian, Zhuhai in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Sanya in Hainan.
From today to the 25th, although rain will continue in the south, overall precipitation will be smaller in scope and weaker in intensity because dynamic conditions are ordinary. Specifically, today, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of Fujian, southern Jiangxi, central and eastern Guangdong, Hainan Island, central Jilin, and southern Yunnan, with rainstorms in local areas of southern Fujian, eastern Guangdong, and central and eastern Hainan Island.

Tomorrow, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of the Ili River Valley in Xinjiang, southeastern Jilin, northern Liaoning, eastern and southern Fujian, southern Jiangxi, eastern and southern coastal Guangdong, Hainan Island, and southern Yunnan, with rainstorms in local areas of the eastern coast of Fujian, the southeastern coast of Guangdong, and central and southern Hainan Island.

The day after tomorrow, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of the Hetao and south-central areas of Inner Mongolia, northern Shanxi, northern Hebei, southern Gansu, northern Sichuan, southern Fujian, southern Guangdong, Hainan Island, and western and southern Yunnan, with rainstorms in local areas of southern Fujian, eastern Guangdong, and southeastern Hainan Island.

From the 26th, as the warm and humid southwest airflow strengthens again and cold air moves south from the north, the convergence of cold and warm air will bring another round of heavy rainfall to the south. At that time, moderate to heavy rain, with local rainstorms or heavy rainstorms, will also occur in eastern Southwest China, Jiangnan, and South China.
Overall, over the next ten days, there will be multiple rounds of rainfall in the south. The public should pay close attention to nowcasts and warning information, and strengthen precautions against secondary disasters such as flash floods, geological disasters, and urban and rural waterlogging that may be caused by sustained rainfall and local heavy rainfall.
Sunny and hot weather to develop in many parts of the north; high temperatures to reappear on the North China Plain around the 23rd
As the warm high-pressure ridge gradually moves eastward, sunny and hot weather will continue to develop in most of the north today and tomorrow, and a new round of high temperatures will begin.
Around the 23rd will be the peak of temperatures in the north, with high temperatures of 35°C and above expected in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, and Shandong. Among major cities, Shijiazhuang, Yinchuan, and Lanzhou may see their ** high temperatures of the year during this warming wave.
At the same time, from the 22nd to the 24th, the maximum temperature in winter wheat areas of southern North China, the Huang-Huai region, and the Guanzhong area of Shaanxi may reach 32–35°C, and dry-hot wind weather will occur. Attention should be paid to the adverse effects on the grain-filling and milk-ripening stages of winter wheat.
However, the impact of this round of high temperatures is limited in scope and short in duration. From the 23rd, a cold air mass with an eastward track will successively affect areas north of the Yangtze River from north to south, bringing rain and cooler weather. At that time, temperatures across the north will gradually drop again; from the 24th to the 25th, maximum temperatures in many places from eastern Northwest China to the North China Plain will be only around 25°C, and cooler weather will return. The public is reminded to pay attention to temperature changes and adjust clothing in time to avoid catching cold.
