On May 18, the first phase of Hefei Metro Line 6 achieved another new milestone, with the left line of the section from Zhenxing South Road Station to Longgang Road Station successfully holed through, marking the 31st single-line shield-driven section to be completed on this line.

The left line of the "Zhen-Long" section has a total length of approximately 765 meters and consists of 510 assembled segment rings. The shield machine was launched from Longgang Road Station and bored northwest along the planned Gaoliang Road to be received at Zhenxing South Road Station. The geological conditions of the strata along the boring route of this section are relatively complex, making it difficult to control the boring attitude of the shield machine and resulting in high construction difficulty.

To ensure the safe and smooth holing-through of the shield-driven section, Hefei Rail Transit organized multiple shield construction planning meetings and invited experts to conduct demonstration and review. During the boring process, multiple water-stop ring hoops were used to block seepage, effectively preventing the risk of water inrush and leakage; the boring attitude of the shield machine was monitored in real time on site, and operations were carried out by zone according to the soft and hard distribution of the strata, achieving precise control of ground settlement and successfully completing the section holing-through task objectives.
