In the early hours of May 10, the coastal area of Guangxi was hit by heavy rainfall, with waterlogging in multiple locations in Qinzhou's urban area. The local meteorological department continued to issue a red rainstorm warning signal, and many schools suspended classes due to the rainstorm.

At 7:11 that day, at the intersection of the Nongken Cold Storage Factory in Qinbei District, Qinzhou, a resident was trapped on the roof of a vehicle due to waterlogging. The Qinzhou Fire and Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched the Zicai Fire and Rescue Station, with one rescue formation, two fire engines, two rubber boats, and ten firefighters rushing to the scene for rescue. At 7:45, the trapped person was successfully transferred and evacuated to a safe area, with no casualties.

The Qinzhou Meteorological Observatory issued an update on the heavy rainfall and a forecast at 9 a.m. on the 10th: in the past hour, 20-94 mm of rainfall occurred in Qinzhou's urban area and in Dafanpo, Jianshan, Longmengang, Kangxiling, Xiniujiao, and Shabu of Qinnan District. Affected by strong rainfall cloud clusters, it is expected that in the next three hours, Qinzhou's urban area and Dafanpo, Jianshan, Longmengang, Kangxiling, Xiniujiao, Shabu, Dongchang, Nali, Jiulong, Nasi, and Napeng of Qinnan District will experience 30-60 mm of heavy rainfall, with localized amounts exceeding 80 mm. The risk of flash floods, geological disasters, and urban and rural waterlogging is very high; please strengthen precautions.

Fangchenggang City, adjacent to Qinzhou, also experienced heavy rain. At 9:37 on the 10th, the Fangchenggang Meteorological Observatory upgraded the orange rainstorm warning signal to red: in the past two hours, about 108 mm of heavy rainfall had occurred in Wangfu Subdistrict, Gangkou, of the city. The strong rainfall cloud cluster is currently located in the area from Fangcheng Jiangshan to Gangkou Guangpo and is moving northeast. It is expected that in the next three hours, Gangkou's urban area, the central district, Wangfu Subdistrict, and Guangpo will still have 50-80 mm of rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning and strong winds.

The meteorological department forecasts that Guangxi will still see frequent rainfall over the next three days, with localized rainstorms to heavy rainstorms accompanied by severe convective weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail. Secondary disasters such as urban and rural waterlogging, flash floods, and geological hazards are highly likely to occur. The public is advised to take precautions against disasters.
