On March 1, the right-line shield machine for the Zhouyin section (Zhoujiagou Station–Yinxing Avenue Station section) of Phase I of the Dalian Metro Line 4 project was successfully launched at Yinxing Avenue Station, and Phase I of the Metro Line 4 project is orderly resuming work and production.
At the construction site of Yinxing Avenue Station on Metro Line 4, the reporter saw a large number of shield tunnel segments neatly arranged on the ground. At a buried depth of about 14 meters underground, a busy scene was presented, with more than 20 workers carrying out preparatory work for the launch of the shield machine at their respective posts; after breaking through the tunnel face, the shield machine will officially begin tunneling. According to the introduction, the Zhoujiagou Station–Yinxing Avenue Station section of Metro Line 4 is 866.5 meters long. After leaving Zhoujiagou Station, the line runs beneath the Heida Line and reaches Yinxing Avenue Station.
To ensure that the conditions for resuming work and production after the holiday are met smoothly and that all work advances safely and steadily, Dalian Transportation Group and the Construction Development Company planned ahead and carefully organized the “first lesson” safety education for the start of work, enabling all construction personnel to quickly enter the working state while keeping the string of safety production taut. At the same time, in accordance with the “six ones, four in place, ten aspects” of resuming work and production, on-site inspections and education and training were strictly carried out point by point from the aspects of safety, environmental protection, quality, and civilized construction, and risk prevention and control measures were refined from the aspects of geology, pipelines, personnel, and processes.
First, safety production management and hidden danger investigation and rectification before resuming work were strengthened, and systematic inspections were conducted on the construction site regarding mined excavation, open excavation, temporary power use, safety protection, fire control management, and personnel attendance. Second, the shield type selection was strictly controlled; the construction unit was organized multiple times to conduct benchmarking studies, and well-known domestic experts were invited to provide guidance on shield machine selection to ensure the reliability and adaptability of the shield machine. Third, close attention was paid to construction organization; the construction unit was required to formulate detailed plans according to node targets, assign responsibilities to individuals, and implement measures such as supervised manufacturing upon shield machine entry and work list management. Fourth, guidance on plans was strengthened; the construction unit was guided to formulate special construction plans and emergency response plans, and advanced technologies such as ground-penetrating radar, CT scanning, and intelligent laser guidance systems were used to provide technical support for the efficient, high-quality, and safe construction of the metro tunnel.
Yang Long, deputy manager of the shield department of the First Work Area of CCCC Third Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. for Dalian Metro Line 4, who is among the participants in Phase I of the Metro Line 4 project, a major project labor competition of Dalian's key projects, introduced that the right-line shield launch for the Zhouyin section was started that day, and the left-line shield launch for the section is expected to start in April this year, thereby realizing dual-line shield construction for the Zhouyin line.
