Recently,AnqingMayor Zhang Junyi chaired a special meeting of the municipal government to study and arrange the preliminary work of the Anqing Haikou Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge project. Municipal leaders Hua Jiahong, Tang Houming, Li Wensheng, and Secretary-General of the Municipal Government Liu Wenjun attended.

　　The meeting heard a report on the research results of the Anqing Haikou Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge and the progress of the preliminary work, and conducted thorough research on the investment model and other related work. Zhang Junyi pointed out that the Anqing Haikou Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge is a key project listed in the national "Layout Plan for Yangtze River Trunk Crossing Channels" and the "Outline of the Comprehensive Three-Dimensional Transportation Network Plan of Anhui Province." It is of great significance for implementing the Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy, optimizing the structure of the regional expressway network and railway network, promoting regional industrial collaboration, and building a "mi"-shaped railway hub city. It is a major project that lays a foundation, strengthens functions, and benefits the long term for Anqing. All departments and local authorities must attach great importance, work together, and make every effort to accelerate the progress of the preliminary work to ensure that the project starts as early as possible and proceeds smoothly.

　　Zhang Junyi required further optimizing the planning and design, comprehensively taking into account requirements such as Yangtze River flood control, the Yangtze River fishing ban, and flight safety, and earnestly carrying out exploration and feasibility studies, so as to lead high-standard construction with high-level planning; further improving work efficiency, with all departments and local authorities cooperating closely, parallel submission and approval of all approval items, and reverse scheduling of all work items by node, so as to achieve coordinated, parallel, and accelerated progress and ensure full commencement of construction before the end of the year; further improving the scheduling mechanism, establishing assessment methods, task lists, and responsibility lists, clarifying timetables, roadmaps, and task statements, and ensuring that responsibilities are assigned to individuals, tasks are divided among posts, and work is advanced to the point.
