Recently, with the roar of machinery on site, the reconstruction project of the Guantouling Tunnel Highway Station of the Lianjiang Highway Center officially commenced construction. Through the unremitting efforts of the Lianjiang Highway Center in the early stage, the construction permit and other preliminary preparations have been completed, and a site meeting was convened with all participating units before commencement to provide briefings on construction quality, safety, and design drawings. At present, the project has completed the demolition of the old buildings and site leveling.

　　The main contents of the reconstruction project of the Lianjiang Guantouling Tunnel Highway Station include a three-story comprehensive building with an area of 1,358.47 square meters and a single-story steel structure emergency equipment warehouse with an area of 393.36 square meters. The total building area is 1,751.83 square meters, with a floor area ratio (FAR) count of 1,798.97 square meters. In addition, 2,275.8 square meters of green space and an underground fire water tank with a capacity of 180 tons will be built. The project is scheduled to be completed on September 30.

　　The Lianjiang Highway Center will develop this highway station into a first-line highway maintenance station focusing on tunnel maintenance and serving multiple tunnels along the route as well as some national and provincial trunk lines. In the future, the station will have real-time tunnel monitoring and emergency response capabilities.
