As an important node in the construction of the protection and development belt around Wuyi Mountain National Park, the Wufu Wengdun to Shangmei Hedun Highway Project has, in recent days, seen the project construction party seize fine sunny weather to work against a reversed schedule and step up construction, striving to achieve full connectivity of the "251" scenic road as early as possible.

　　To accelerate project construction, since resuming work after the Spring Festival, the project has invested a large amount of machinery and personnel on the premise of ensuring construction safety, mainly excavators and loaders, with more than 60 units of rear eight-wheel machinery and over 90 personnel entering the site, going all out to speed up progress and striving to complete road construction as early as possible. The project is carried out in two construction sections, the Wufu section and the Hedun section. The Wufu section has so far completed about 80,000 cubic meters of earthwork and two bridges, while culverts and some structures are under active construction; the Hedun section has so far completed 100,000 cubic meters of earthwork, and the key control node, the Litou Tunnel, has completed the preparatory work for the tunnel portal and will soon carry out tunnel excavation.

　　The Wufu Wengdun to Shangmei Hedun Highway Project has a total length of 8.17 kilometers, starting from Wengdun Village, a key village in the belt in Wufu Town, and ending at Hedun Village in Shangmei Township, connecting with National Highway 322. The project is built to the technical standards of a Class III highway, with asphalt concrete pavement and a design speed of 30 kilometers per hour. The entire line has 4 bridges with a total length of about 494 meters and 1 tunnel with a total length of 575 meters. In the later stage, the project will simultaneously improve supporting facilities along the "251" loop, including greening, security, tourist signs and markings, and smart transportation. Once completed, the project will directly connect scenic spots and attractions such as the Wuyi Mountain main scenic area, Wufu Town, and Xiamei Village, further expand urban development space, and drive economic development in the areas along the route.
