　　Among the 780 major construction projects, classified by infrastructure, industrial engineering, livelihood security, and urban renewal projects, there are 565 industrial engineering projects, accounting for 72.4% of the total; 128 infrastructure projects, accounting for 16.4% of the total; and 84 livelihood projects, accounting for 10.8% of the total.
　　Industrial engineering is the key focus, with an annual planned investment of 67.9 billion yuan. The China Spallation Neutron Source located in Songshan Lake Science City is the fourth in the world and China's first pulsed spallation neutron source. Since its completion in 2018, 8 spectrometers have successfully produced beams, making it one of the important supports for original innovation in Guangdong. This year, the second phase of the China Spallation Neutron Source, with a total investment of nearly 2.9 billion yuan, will start construction, mainly building 11 neutron spectrometers and experimental terminals, increasing the beam power of the accelerator and target station, and meeting the requirements of national strategic needs and world frontier scientific research for high-performance neutron scattering.

　　The Advanced Attosecond Laser Facility, also located in Songshan Lake, will also start construction this year. The project has an investment of 1.5 billion yuan and covers an area of 140 mu. It will build five types of attosecond light sources, including extreme ultraviolet attosecond light sources, and build related research platforms according to the application targets of these light sources.
