　　Construction of 220kV substation begins; enhancing transmission capacity of northern Chengdu power grid
The 2024 Chengdu Power Grid "Rongyao Project · Gongga Peak" three-year critical construction advancement and resumption-of-work safety education conference was held on the 22nd, at which the Shulong 220kV power transmission and transformation project, a key project, broke ground. The substation itself involves an investment of 890 million yuan, making it the largest 220kV substation investment in Sichuan Province's history and a core node in Xindu District's future power supply network. It is expected to be officially put into operation in 2025, at which time it will greatly resolve the issue of limited transmission capacity in parts of northern Chengdu's power grid.
According to Yao Jiandong, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of Chengdu Power Supply Company, the project can increase the overall power supply capacity of Chengdu's power grid by approximately 500,000 kilowatts and add 480,000 kVA of power supply capacity, effectively alleviating the heavy-load problems of the 220kV Majia and Tuanjie substations, achieving an overall optimization of the 110kV network structure in the Xindu area, significantly enhancing regional power supply reliability, and fully meeting the high-quality electricity demand of industries such as rail transit and transportation.
According to Hu Lin, Deputy Director of the Construction Department of State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company, in 2024 Chengdu's power grid has 56 projects under construction, with 13.33 million kVA of transformer capacity and 1,816.6 kilometers of lines under construction, both the scale and intensity of construction reaching historic highs. Within the year, 29 projects will newly break ground, including the 500kV Konggang project and its supporting facilities and the 220kV Shulong project. Before the summer peak, 9 key projects including the 500kV Shiling and 220kV Houzimen projects will be put into operation. A total of 22 projects will be put into operation throughout the year, with 319.4 kilometers of lines commissioned. "Chengdu's power grid supply capacity will exceed 20 million kilowatts within the year, further meeting the energy demand for Chengdu's economic and social development," said Hu Lin.
It is reported that the "Rongyao Project · Gongga Peak" three-year critical initiative is the largest and most extensive construction task for Chengdu's power grid in recent years, with a total investment of 16 billion yuan in the projects themselves and more than 110 projects to be put into operation. Once the three-year construction projects are fully completed, Chengdu's power grid supply capacity will double by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and will help achieve the expected goal of non-fossil energy accounting for more than 50% of Chengdu's energy consumption.

All 13 buildings in the park have now been completed. As the R&D and production plant of the National High-End Aviation Equipment Technology Innovation Center, this site will in the future realize "technology upstairs, industry upstairs" and is an important infrastructure for Qingyang District to build a *** advanced aviation manufacturing cluster.
According to Li Yong, in order to ensure the project's completion and delivery on schedule, during the foundation construction phase, additional steel reinforcement processing equipment was installed and a two-shift system was implemented, with material processing and fabrication carried out overnight. In just five months, the mechanical and electrical installation work of 31,500 square meters of basements on two plots was completed.
At the construction site of the Airport Economy Manufacturing Industrial Headquarters Base in Chengdu Eastern New Area, the site has resumed work after the Spring Festival holiday and is bustling with activity—the roar of machinery is incessant, vehicles continuously enter and exit transporting materials, and with the cooperation of tower cranes, workers collaborate efficiently. "At present, the first phase of the project has completed the main structure construction and is undergoing secondary structure and mechanical and electrical installation work. The Airport Economy Manufacturing Industrial Headquarters Base project covers a total land area of approximately 386 mu, with a total construction area of approximately 460,000 square meters and a total investment of approximately 3.2 billion yuan. Adjacent to the Chengdu International Railway Port, the Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Center is a provincial and municipal key project and an important component of the construction of Chengdu National Backbone Cold Chain Logistics Base. It will create a comprehensive modern service industry trading park integrating import and export trade, cold chain warehousing, e-commerce, logistics distribution, and other functions. On the eighth day of the first lunar month, the project fully resumed work ahead of schedule. It has now achieved structural topping-out and is undergoing decoration and equipment installation, and is expected to be completed and put into use in the second half of this year.
It is reported that the Yuhu Cold Chain (Chengdu) Trading Center has been selected for the Sichuan Provincial Key Project List for three consecutive years and is an important component of the "Chengdu National Backbone Cold Chain Logistics Base." With the promotion of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and the Cold Chain Logistics Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, it has joined the "National Backbone Cold Chain Logistics Base Joint Conference Mechanism."
After completion and operation, the project will fully leverage the advantages of a "chain leader" enterprise to empower the building of industrial circles and strengthening of chains in related industries in Chengdu, jointly build a cold chain ecosystem, and form a dual-tier global cold chain supply chain system in Sichuan and even the western region of China, complementing existing facilities and supply chains. Through integrated hardware and software innovation, it will achieve the integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries and create a new ecosystem for food circulation and dual circulation in Sichuan.
