On that day in Nanning, Guangxi, the construction site of the Liulü Yongjiang Grand Bridge on the Nanning–Yulin section of the Nanning–Shenzhen High-Speed Railway was bustling with activity, as builders worked intensively to advance the schedule and strive for the project's early completion. According to introductions, the Nanning–Yulin section of the Nanning–Shenzhen High-Speed Railway is the first 350 km/h high-speed railway independently invested in and built by Guangxi, starting from Nanning in the west and running eastward through Guigang into Yulin.

After the project is completed and opened to traffic, the journey from Nanning to Yulin will be shortened from 2 hours to about 50 minutes. The Liulü Yongjiang Grand Bridge, with a main span of 320 meters, is a key controlling project on the Nanning–Yulin section of the Nanning–Shenzhen High-Speed Railway.

The Liulü Yongjiang Grand Bridge is the last unfinished key controlling project on the entire Nanning–Yulin section of the Nanning–Shenzhen High-Speed Railway, and construction continued without interruption during the Spring Festival. During construction, the participating unit Tiezheng Company of China Railway 14th Bureau Group carried out testing and inspection work, ensuring the quality and reliability of various raw materials while rushing the project schedule, thereby guaranteeing the quality of the project.

The main bridge of the Liulü Yongjiang Grand Bridge has a total length of 621.5 meters, a main span of 320 meters, and a total height of 115 meters. It is the steel box–concrete partially cable-stayed bridge with the largest span among the ballastless-track high-speed railways at 350 km/h approved for construction in the same period in China. At present, construction of the Liulü Yongjiang Grand Bridge is 90% complete and is expected to be closed in March, at which time the bridge works of the Nanning–Yulin section of the Nanning–Shenzhen High-Speed Railway will be fully connected, laying the foundation for the smooth progress of track laying and the "four-electric" (communication, signal, power, and electrification) engineering construction along the entire line.
